Where do I find information on where to purchase parts for a Dell Case. All that is wrong with it is the switch. No matter how many calls or e-mails I send to Dell does any good. I have searched the web until I am blue in the fingers looking for a place or a site that sells switches. I can buy a whole new case, but there has got to be a place that cells the switch for this case?? Am I not right?
It is only a year old. Just out of waranty...
Thanks for any help anyone can give me

Have you tried Radio Shack? They would at least be able to rig something.

Yeh...have already explored that option. Can get something done by going that route. But like you said, just rig something up. Was hoping to get something close to the original. But looks like we will have to go that route...Even tried looking towards any trashed out systems...see what will hapen.
But thanks, appreciate the reponse...

Was trying to post a .jpeg of what it looks like, but couldn't get that done.
The cable (ribbon cable)is about 11 inches in length. One end has a female plastic connector 16 pin. the other end is connected to a small green board 1 inch wide by 1.5 inches high. The board (green on one side and beige on the other) has two small led lights on it for the power and the reset indicator. Has two small black switches on the board, very small, (size of an eraser head), one switch is right below the harddrive led, and one switch is right below the power led. These switchs are plunger type and click when you push on them.
That is about as detailed as I can get.
Says Dell on the board, some numbers and letters (9830, PWA 92315 REV A03, HCDLED above the led for harddrive,reset--above the reset switch, PWR below the power switchand PWRLED below the power led)on one side. On the other side it has letters and numbers ( CPC-E, 94V-0, PWB 92316 REV A01, Made in Taiwan).
About all I can find...
Hope this helps and you have what I need
Thanks

Sorry- none of mine look like that, they must be the older type.

Appreciate the effort,.
I'll come up with something. Hopefully can make it work for now and maybe come across one.
Stay warm, I'll try to keep the North winds at bay.
