ok, Just getting into to small LANs and though i had most of the standards and all that worked out in my mind. Read through some books, but then noticed that some of them said different stuff in them, to be expected though with technoilogy. I need you guys to please explane all or most of the different types of LANs, please only the ones that would be useful for a small one like home or small business. And also the most common ones too... I thought i had it all figured out, but then i read that fast ethernet had to use FDDI? that's the first time i saw that... so what the deal, I'm not messing with fiber **** if I need 100MB..and then i saw some other stuff too that was weird...can't think of any more specifics though... good site are welcome too, but make sure they explane that clearly... apperently I have some kind of mentatl understanding impediment... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
