hi has a nice day

i'm using 17" inch likom monitor with maximum resolution 1280 x 1024. on xp why it showed 1154 x 854? i tried to adjust to 1280 x 1024 res. why no display? does xp support 1280 x 1064 resolution or i have to downlod a new driver?

Are the monitor drivers installed, or are you using the drivers supplied with WinXP?

What type of video card are you using? Is it on-board, microsoft has an article similar to your problem but has to do with Windows XP and a Gateway bios problem.

What is the monitor set at? Plug and play or the actual type you have?
