Im choosing between IBM & Maxtor, Which One?

What size you've been thinking of ?

I'm working with all kinds of HDD, from all major makers, and so far - if you want top speed, you buy either IBM 60GXP or Seagate Barracuda IV.

I do aware of all the posts about failures in IBM drives, but if you'll look for more info on the subject, you'll find that many people out there have problems with their HDD, not from just with those made by IBM.

I've sold so far about 50 of both 75GXP and 60GXP, all work fine, no complaints.

How come no Western Digital?? I thought it's good... that's the HDD I have...

I use some Maxtor drives and I have no problems, except when used with promise IDE RAID controllers. But for normal use Maxtor is good.

Ive just bought a maxtor 7200 dx740 drive, very good indeed. Sped my aging system up nicely. Very quiet too. Definately the one to go for:cool:

Go to your local SamsClub-buy,beg or borrow a member card if your are not!

WD HD 100g 7200Rpm for 219.00-100.00(Rebate)=119.00+tax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Yes they do pay the Rebates in about a month,just follow the Easy rebate Booklet!!
