Hey, I have a problem with my sound card or my speakers...

This is what i have

Sound Card : Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer
Speakers: Creative Four Point Surround FPS 1600

This is my problem. Sound is only coming out of one port in the sound card. So there are only two speakers that work. But when i switch the speakers they all work fine, but only from that one port. And I am pretty sure that my sound card has four sound output jacks. And I am running windows XP. I already got the newest drivers. And i have already tried to set it up in the windows advanced speaker set up where you can tell the computer that you have surround sound.

Help.

Thanks,
Mike

Did you plug in to the "digital out" jack? If you have a standard set of creative speakers, there should be at least two plugs coming out of the subwoofer (usually green and orange, or black and orange/green). You need to plug these two into the Line Out 1 (has a symbol next to it that looks like: )))---> 1) and the Line Out 2 (looks like: )))---> 2). The plugs on the card might not be color coded; I think the Augidy has all brass 1/8" stereo connectors. The other plugs on the back of the augidy are Digital out (for use with the creative 5.1 Inspire Digital speakers)/Line out 3, Line In 1 and 2, Microphone and IEEE 1394 (aka firewire) for connecting high speed devices such as digital cameras.

Have you tried setting up the speakers in AudioHQ. Its Creatives speaker setup utility. I had your problem with my X-Gamer Live 5.1, played around with AudioHQ and set my speakers to surround 4.1.
AudioHQ should be in the Control Panel, this is if you installed AudioHQ and most of the Creative programs.

the Problem here is your DRiver. You would need a Driver from Sound Blaster where where there are program that come's with the Driver. The Program that some with the DRive Help Enable the Sourround Sound know as 4.1 or

i cant find any of these driver programs on the creative site that would help my Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer be able to use surround sound. Do you think you guys could send me a link? And I am pretty sure that it is NOT a Sound Blaster LIVE! card.

Thanks

Zodiac this is a guess!

Try this Go to start - settings - control panel - Multimedia - (in the playback portion of the window) - advanced properties

Now locate your speaker set up and apply.

Just guessing. Hope it helps.
