A good 16X DVD

Hello everyone, I would like suggestion or comments on what is the best 16X DVDRom on the market at this time. Much appreciated nothing technical needed or anything just want an insight on what I should look at.

My system is 1.4mghz Athlon system with all the goodies, so no decoders or anything will be needed .
