Anybody have a good site? I tried GRC and sygate's site, ZA picked everything up, but BlackIce just sat idle. Hmmm, or is ZA doing a good job? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Still, I wanna see if this works! Thanks.

Great! Thanks all! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif I think BID is $40 well spent. I was a little bit worried that ZA has been defeated, so I got BID just in case! I tried Sygate's Firewall...man, is that proggy ever hard to use!

Thanks for reminding me again of HackerWhacker, Rob. It's been awhile since I've been there. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Excellent scan site.

Almost forgot. Here's the link to the ISS scanner. ISS Online Scanner (https://onlinescanner.iss.net)

Socal, thanks for the ISS link. That is a pretty cool online utility. Definitely something for me to bookmark. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

ZA will pick up everything because it has a higher default setting. If you turn down the security setting BI will intersept everything.

If your using them simultaneously, then ZA is your primary firewall. Only if something makes it past ZA will BID do anything. Considering that most tests just simply probe ports, ZA is more than capable of passing these tests. Since ZA handles all of these tests with little effort, then BIS will never actually do anything.

ZA does a good job. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Turn off ZA and get scanned at GRC with only BID.

More scanning sites:
http://scan.sygatetech.com/ (thanks, Seti)

http://www.dslreports.com/secureme (broadband)

http://www.dslreports.com/scan (quick shield scan)

There's another excellent security scan test at www.iss.net (http://www.iss.net) but I don't have here/can't find quickly the exact link.

Have fun, gotta run! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

If you want a test that will really slam your firewall's protection, then check out this site:

HackerWhacker (http://www.hackerwhacker.com/)

Here are my results using Conseal PC Firewall with a custom configured ruleset:

PortScan (http://www.angelfire.com/tn/PlanetMinako/scan.htm)
