I don't know my chipset/model....don't know if it's one of the ones on a Socket 7 system referred to in the back of the Verto GeForce2 MX400 64meg AGP (all I know is I have a Pentium II with Tabor II motherboard - awaiting word from Gateway on the actual chipset/model if they still have my records from 2 years ago). Anyway, PNY suggest upgrading drivers for this type of chipset if I can't get my new card to work in anything but 16 colors. Would it hurt to download them all and let Windows search for one if my motherboard needs it? I am desperate to get my computer up and running properly again....new expansion for EverQuest game is being released today and I wanted to be one of the first to enjoy it. As of right now my new card is not being recognized in My Computer/Properties/Device Manager nor in Dxdiag.exe. Both say I have a Standard PCI Graphics Adaptor (VGA) when they should be saying I have a GeForce2.

Problem solved without having to know chipset/model. Yay! The new drivers at nvidia.com did the trick for me and took me out of the Standard VGA mode. I don't know why the installation on the CD didn't....either it was faulty and didn't install correctly or my computer just needed what was in the new Detonator driver package. I'm now running on the GeForce...just need some minor adjustments here and there.
