On an epox EP-8HKA mb with 256mb pc2100, xp1600, and 32mb ddr gf2 gts, will a 7200rmp hard drive give any performance increase over a 5400rpm (both 41GB)? Newegg's got em both and for some reason the 7200rpm is being sold for less than the 5400, but its sold out anyway :mad:.

Yes you would want the 7200 rpm for faster access which is why it costs a tad more if they don't have it I would look elsewhere for it since with your system you wouldn't want the drive to be a bottleneck when as I say its available elsewhere. Check your local pc shop they should have them as well and if its defective or fails its easier to get a replacement from them probably same day and let them do the rma.
