Hello,
I have the super micro P6DGU with 256MB of (according to the text on chip) is ECC 100.
I want to add more memory.
What should I look for regular SDRAM , ECC 100 or SDRAM ECC 100.
(Are the last two the same?).

Any advice will be graet
:)

The ram you have installed now is SDRAM. The ECC part is error checking, and the 100 is the speed. It will work with PC100, PC133, unbuffered, non parity, ECC and registered ram as well.

Sence you have PC100 ECC SDRAM installed, I think using another module of the same thing would be correct. You can use PC133 along with PC100, but the PC133 will run at the same speed as the PC100 does.

Check the following page for all of the different ram modules that will work in your board, remembering that you cannot always mix ECC/registered and non buffered, non parity together.
