why is that some 3d games specially those ported from the Playstation requires just less PC requirements, i.e. Resident Evil 2, 3, Final Fantasy 7, 8, Soul Reaver, Metal Gear Solid etc. they only require you Pentium 133 to Pentium 266, and a descent 3d card to WORK! (but not the best out of it)
and the latest is the Soul Rever 2, and Metal Gear Solid 2 these games were from the Playstation 2 right? and look at there requirements for the PC with just a minimum of Pentium 266 and a descent 3d card you can work it out (but cant get the best out of it) but unlike the games developed originally for the PC i.e. those games with graphics just the same with the games from the PS and PS2 requires huge PC power. (Pentium 3 500, 16 MB video RAM etc.)
what I really mean is that why does games with the same graphics and gameplay needs more power than those games with the same graphics and gameplay that just needs less PC power?
