Video Chip/card Upgrade Question

I have a 2 1/2 yr old packard bell computer and it has got an 850 motherboard and it is a socket 7. CPU is a Cyrix MII(8x86MX) 300Mhz . I'd like to upgrade the video capabilities. Will the computer accept a 32MB PCI NiVida video card or would the computer handle the 8MB PCI card better?????? Just to let you know it currently has an SIS 5597 onboard video chip. No AGP slot but there are PCI slots.
