you guys seem to know your stuff so i figured i'd ask...
on the vp6, what settings should i use to go from 2 p3/700/100 to /933+? whats the formula...v=?...
i thought i had it but only 1 p3/700/100@933/133 got displayed.
byw: mine is strictly D.A.W w/2g crucial 512/133 and air conditioning.

Which OS are you using??
I'm using an abit VP6 (http://www.xtremepccentral.com/vbforums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=77) on one of my systems and I can tell you that you don't need to set the BIOS in any special way for the second processor to be recognized. It also doesn't matter which socket you install a single processor like you would have to on some older dual mainboards...
Regardless of what OS is installed, you should see 2 processors recognized at system bootup, "Pentium III 700Mhz X 2". However, to utilize both processors, you will need to have NT, Win2k, XP Pro, Linux, etc to utilize the second processor since Win9x kernel cannot recognize more than one processor.
Try installing just one processor in each socket to check to be sure one of your processor socket isn't defective.

i've tried many combos to set bios.
currently:
a. cpu operating speed=user defined (u/d)
b. ext. clock pci =100mhz
c. cpu fsb plus =10 or 5
d. mulitplier =7
e. speed error hold =disabled (d/a)
f. dram clock =host (h) can be (h-pci) but not (h+pci)
g. cpu power supply =user defined (u/d)
h. core voltage =8
i. vcc3 voltage =3.3v
j. hardwired irq =4
combos i've tried but cause missing chip or hang:
a=u/d, b=100/133, c=0/5/10/15, d=7/7.5/8, e=d/a, f=h/h-p/h+p, g=u/d, h=6.5/7.0/7.5/8.0/8.5, i=3.3, j=4
with those settings i've passed 1ghz but only one cpu shows @boot...when i up the voltage, the other will show but win2k hangs...
