Sticking AGP2x video card in AGP Pro slot?

Will it work? Is AGP Pro backward compatible with AGP 1x, 2x, 4x?
I just ordered ASUS A7V266E and wondering if my Voodoo3 3000 will work in its AGP Pro slot. How does it handle voltage difference?

I haven't heard of an AGP Pro slot. The latest I have heard was the AGP 2.0 specification that can run 1x, 2x and 4x.

Try looking at www.tomshardware.com for any new information on AGP technology.

the voodoo card should work fine in AGP Pro slot, all the Pro refers to is the extra section that supplies more power than standard for the card. Since the voodoo doesn't plug into this bit it's should be fine

AGP pro slots should come with a small piece of plastic stuffed in one end, if your not using an AGP pro card DO NOT remove it. It keeps your non-pro card from sliding around and missing contact.
