I'm having problems with downloading(can't find/locate site), cookies(set cookies to enable when it is), and constant refresh screens. I'm not sure IE5.0 is working OK with Win95B. Does anyone have any insight to this Microsoft "phenomonem"??

I don't have any problems w/W95B and IE5.01
In fact, IE5.01 has been the best IE version, IMHO. However, when installed, I chose only the absolute minimum options for IE5.01 -- & Windoz for that matter (no Media Player 6.x or DirectX Media junk, for example).

However, I have noticed the internet itself has at times been slower & quirkier lately, probably due to enormous traffic. All the schoolkids not playing outside now.

I don't remember if IE5 has the "repair" option or not. This is a valuable tool on IE5.01

Yeah, IE5 has the repair tool. When you installed IE5.1 was that a "customed" install or do you have to specify exactly what you want to install, and what would that be? Thanks.
BTW, that Win95B is OSR2 right??

Yup, Win95B=OSR2. When installing IE5x, there's a brief moment @ the beginning where it asks if you want to choose or customize the installation. If you choose that, an "Advanced" button will show up. If that is clicked, you can choose options to install & even simply download the files to your HD w/o installing (to install later). If your "repair" operation completes OK, then I'm not sure what your problems might be -- sometimes it's hard to distinguish between your "box" problems and internet problems you can't control. There's a site w/a program that'll clean IE5 off your system completely before installing another version (IE5.01) called IE Eradicator @:
http://www.98lite.net/webmasters.html

However, some users of W98, WinME, & W2K have reported problems from using this.

Warning: I would NOT install IE5.5 as this can be very buggy on many systems.
