MSI K7T-R vs. Shuttle AK31 question?

Currently I'm running the AK31 with an unlocked Duron 900 @ 1ghz with 512 DDR CL3 ram. I recently acquired the MSI (cheap) to rebuild daughters' system. 1)Should I keep the MSI for myself using PC133 ram? I also plan to pick up a faster chip eventually for myself and put the Duron into the Daughters'.
2)If I should keep the MSI for myself, before I make the switch, should I remove anything from the device manager to avoid conflicts? Or it that only when you swap different components on the same mobo?
