Can anyone explain to me why a keyboard with a PS/2 connector cannot be used with a motherboard that has an AT Keyboard connector IGNORING the fact that they are different sizes???

Amir Bovon 12-01-2001, 02:38 PM There are adapters for those keyboards to make a PS/2 fit the larger standard AT type, and there are adapters to go the other way, and allow an AT type fit the smaller PS/2 socket. Peter M 12-01-2001, 04:30 PM The interface properties are completely identical, except for the physical shape of the plug. With an adapter, no problem - not even the other way round, old AT keyboard on new machine. regards, Peter SysOpt.com
