Please help :)

I have built a 1.5 Athlon XP machine using the GA7VTXE motherboard under Win
XP Home. I have installed a HPT370 pci raid card, (only using it for DVD
Drive at moment), but am unable to get into the Raid cards bios. I can get
into the motherboards bios easy enough, but when the computer boots to the
part where it says to press 'ctrl h' to enter the raid cards bios the
keyboard seems to be disabled and nothing happens! The Win XP login screen
then appears and the keyboard and mouse are fine. I am using a Microsoft USB
keyboard, but have tried a PS2 keyboard and the same thing happens.

Other than this my machine is running fine.

Can anyone help, please.......:)

Thanks for any advice.

Can it be coz you hooked DVD to it ?! RAID controllers don't work very well with ATAPI devices (such as your DVD-ROM), you can try plugging a HD to it, then you could possibly enter it's BIOS and check/modify the settings ...
It's same way with my Abit KT7A-RAID (same HPT370 cotroller, but o/b), I can't enter HPT BIOS with CD/DVD-ROM plugged into RAID connector.

Best Regards ...

I unplugged the DVD-Rom drive from the card, but still no luck :( I also changed PCI slots, but still the same.

ill try it like you said. do you do that before the the system check screen comes up? or while the screens blank like entering the AMIBIOS. i have win XP and the os wont let me change my card to IRQ 11. does anybody know how to do this with this board? and also getting into any additional bios settings. im shadowing my video and i need to turn it off. thanks
