Sandra 2000 had 2 tips to speed up my boot time for Windows ME. One was to label my C drive and second was to disable the Windows ME start screen during boot up. I am not clear about what labeling the C drive will do or what to label it. Also have no idea how to disable that boot up screen for Windows ME. I looked everywhere but still cant figure it out.
Any suggestions?

If you right click your C:, and go to properties, you can set the label of the drive. To be perfectly honest, this doesn't do anything as far as I can tell. It's just a way of giving the drive a name. "A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet."

That's what I needed to know.I didn't notice any difference after labeling the drive other than the tip from Sandra not showing up again and having the drive named.

Appearently some applications need a volume lable to run properly. Which ones I have never discovered.

For those of you that would like to name your drives, check out this site.
