Would stacking 2 60mm 26cfm (quiet) fans create more airflow/pressure then one screaming 38cfm Delta...or am I nuts for even thinking this way??? Any thoughts???

I don't know if they would be more powerful than the Delta you speak of, but I know piggybacking two fans does indeed work. Very well.
I have two 80mm fans piggybacked on my Athlon and it stays nice 'n' cool.

it will increase the rpm's of the lower fan. so it should follow that it would increase air flow . how much of an increase would depend on the fan's . I've been playing with
this recently . haven't seen any huge differences but it does seem to help.
You would probably more air if you placed the fans side by side instead of on top of eachother, if the situation permits. It's kind of a series vs. parallel arrangement thing. Series would be much easier on the fans (and they should push a little more air than one fan), but parallel would move exactly twice the air of one fan.

I like the Idea of Placing The fans Being parallel like One On each side One Blowing and one sucking It seems like a great idea Im gonna try it when i get my comp to see how it works!
Another idea would be to fix a fan to either side of the hs. One pushing it in and one pulling it out...a wind tunnel. Like the Alpha PEP66U with a fan on both sides.
I still don't think it would match the almighty delta
