I know for a fact that people at the comp. show will try to sell you parts even if they know they will not be compatible with each other, so I want to ask you guys a question, how can i tell if the case is AMD approved, the same for power supply. You know maybe I should look for some specific design or something, please help me out if you can

P.S. do not forget power supply

P.S.S. How do I tell if it is 100DMA cable or 66DMA, Is it me or ATA100 HD won't work on the MB that doesn't support ATA100

Make sure the case is ATX. ATX is a standard for sizing. All AMD motherboards are ATX form factor. As for the power supply, make sure it is at least 300 Watts. Other than that, check the case for good airflow (holes in the front, back, side).
