Are there any benefits to be had from waiting to install Windows XP? Besides the OBVIOUS possible improvements in the "bug" department, what about impending litigation/settlements that could allow for modifications of this new os to function with competitors interest?
To those in political opposition to all things Microsoft, please spare me the soap box and pass me the FACTS on why I shouild wait. [pretend its brand "XYZ" software and let your intellect show!]
Gratitude from the in-"X"-perienced.

Well its out so I would not worry about litigation etc,
So this question is coming from a Win98 user- correct?
If so then yes it can be worth it if you are interested in Stability eg in 2000 [same thing, not so pretty - or ugly depending on which fence you sit ;) ] games and programs can/will crash But quite often I can kill them without a restart :)
There is also the option to lock down your computer and stop or limit other users from running programs or seeing files etc, if you are the Administrator of your machine then you give others permission to do as you see fit [a bit of a learning curve though]
Just 2 of the major benefits of 2000 or XP.
2000 was a bit rough until the first service pack came out though
