All Right,

With all the hype, I spent some hard earned moolah and bought Black and White. I've been playing for about a week and I'm not sure if I like it. I'm so used to first person "bang your dead."

I need some input from B & W players as how to make the game interesting and perhaps some tips that I have yet to learn.

Thanks

Well, for the first week that I played it I found it really fun to be increadibly evil :D. But of course that gets old after a while, too.

About B & W,

SAVE YOUR MONEY!! Take it back. It doesn't get any better. That game is so incredibly boring. I wish someone had told me not to buy it.

To play it 'properly', you have to sit and perform the same spell literally 100 times for your creature to learn it.

In a nut shell--
It Sucks. It's like Work!!

If you want a fun, innovative, heavy 3d graphical game to play that will keep your interests, try Giants (citizen kabuto (-1sp)). I had seen this in stores, but hadn't heard anything about it til my cousin showed me. it beats B&W hands down. It's funny, interesting, has 3 different races which is 3 different stimulating games in one.

I beg to disagree. If you like/need fast paced action, then yes BnW probably is'nt for you- but if you're looking for a totally new style of game then give it a try.

Probably the biggest tip I can give you is to train your creature correctly and play the game correctly. I'll explain:

When I first played the game I half-hartedly trained my creature, and it showed later on when I was doing most of the work for my people when my creature was wandering around the land getting intro trouble. Then I had to keep an eye on all my villages (i played good btw) and keep my creature under control. The micro was very tedius as you'd have to constantly create desciples in the villages or they'd sit around and do nothing. This kind of turned me away from the game for a little bit and I left it be for a while.

Then I reformatted my drive and gave it another go. After reading some tips from the web I trained my creature properly, and you can actually play the game without making any desciples. If you do it right the villagers will attend to their own needs without desciples leaving you much more free time. I can now remove a ton of food from a village (to feed the worshippers at the temple) and they will stop dancing around my rock and farm until the food is restored. My creature knows where to go and what to do. The game is much more enjoyable when you're not constantly doing micro.

Other than that, there really isn't much to say. Do a search for Black and White on google and you'll pull up lots of tips. Have a little patience and have a lot of fun!

Edit: One more thing don't feel rushed in the game take your time, do every silver scroll, spend way longer than you need to on a particular land I did this and got much more out of it that way (spend lots of time training your creature, looking for scrolls, etc)
