Baseline:I have made the "leap" to XP with a new PC purchase.
My problem: I am importing Netscape email folders to MS Outlook and for the most part all is going well. The address book and other small mail folders are assimilated. I have two mail folders that generate an error message: "out of memory" during the import execution. These two folders are around 50 MB each.
I don't know if there are any parameters that can be changed to accept these larger files or what else I can do to get these folders into MS Outlook.

I'm not sure if you are using Office XP, Windows XP, or both. Are you using Netscape or Netscape Communicator? I'm assuming ou're using communicator. I know nothing about any XP software, but I have seen similar problems with Outlook 2000 and Netscape Communicator.
Try importing your mail from Communicator to Outlook Express, not directly to Outlook. Then import from Outlook Express into Outlook. That's how it has to be done with the Office 200 suite.
I could be way off the mark depending on what you've tried and what you're using. If that doesn't work, try going into Netscape, creating an new folder or two, and moving some of those emails from the large folder into the new ones. This will make the file size smaller, thus you might be able to import them without receiving the error.

I'm using both XP Professional and XP Office while importing from Netscape Communicator.
Since I'm having success with the smaller email folders, I might just go ahead with the brute force approach of breaking the large email folders into smaller, more digestable entities. With 512MB of RAM and 100 GB of Hard Disk, you'd think I could avoid the " out of memory" error message!

Yeah, the brute force method should work. If not, here's a link that describes the use of using outlook express.

Good luck!
