I found a pretty current System Disk for my computer.
When installed it said the following:
"
The following file is missing or corrupted: HIMEN.SYS
There is an error in your CONFIG.SYS file on line 2
"
Can you help?
Thanks.

Hi Bahigdon,
First the file is actually HIMEM.SYS
and to be honest you don't need it to run windows, the call to the file is from the set up before Windows was installed. when Windows is running run msconfig or goto sytem information and switch off the line in config.sys and you should not have any more problems

You can always manually copy the file onto the Start Up disk to replace the missing or damaged file.

As for the error message (which is probably related to not having Himem.sys running), open up the config.sys file using notepad and check what the line 2 states.

Again you can always copy the config.sys from your C disk onto the system disk. If doing this I'd copy the Autoexec.bat file as well.
