If I overclock my 1 Ghz Athlon to 1.2 Ghz (with the multiplier) the system hangs after aprox. 10 burn-in tests (with sandra).

The following error appears:

This problem seems to be caused by the following file: 3dfxvs.dll
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

My system: A7V bios 1008, 1GHZ Athlon TB (unlocked), Cooler Global WIN FOP38 + Arctic Silver II, CPU Temp 39 Celcius when running on 1.2 Ghz. Voodoo 4500 video. 512 Mb Mem. Windows XP prof.

It looks like an error in the Voodoo but it runs fine when I switch back the multiplier to 11.5. Is the Voodoo card not able to handle the CPU Speed?

Be cause my CPU temp. is so low I want to get some more juice out of the CPU by changing the multiplier to 12.5 and set FSB to 105.

Help !!! I want more speed!

Greetings,
Leo

The Blue screen has been solved by installing the latest drivers for the Voodoo 4500 (V1.08) and installing the latest VIA drivers V4.35.

I'm running now on 1213 Mhz with the 12 multiplier. Temp of CPU is 43 C when CPU is 100% busy.

Second hurdle now:

When I use the 12.5 multiplier my system won't boot at all!!
The boot sequence stops with a message that some files in the winnt\system32 can't be found.

Any suggestions??

Leo
