C-Type Athlon has a 266 Mhz FSB. The B-Type has a 100 Mhz FSB.

Check this link:

Good luck,

Good link, Tele0. The one I had bookmarked has gone down the tube.

ljd290, this link is for a Duron, but the Athlon Thunderbird is the same. If the last letter in the code is a B, then the processor is a 200 mhz fsb cpu. If it is a C series, then it is a 133 mhz (266 is the same thing...has to do with data transfer). The cpu still may be locked...and if so, it is set to run at 100 mhz fsb, you can look at the L1 bridges out on the ceramic base next to the core to see if those (very tiny) L1 bridges have been laser cut thru. You may need a good magnifying glass to be sure, unless your peepers are about 10-10 :D

Thnx for that

Are there any images i can look at online as i'm not
sure what I'm looking for. And is it something
that I can sort myself or something I should poke
the supplier in the eye for :D and send it back
and demand what I expected.

That's the link you're lookin' for.
I don't know if you should poke you're supplier in the eye.
Maybe you ordered a processor that is not mentioned for you mainboard.

You can solve the problem if you think you understand the problem you have. If you're not sure ....go to you're supplier with all the info regarding to your system.

Playing with multipliers and FSB can harm you're processor!!
