Hi, just a thought here: the Celeron 1200 has 256 Kb of cache just like the P III, runs at 100 MHz, and is based on the TULUATIN core, ie, engraved with a 0.13 micron process. Doesn't that mean one can probably overclock it to 133 MHz, ie 1600 MHz???? Effectively making it the king of overclockers?

Just think about it, if the P iii @ 1 GHz equals a P iv @ 1.5 GHz then an oced Cel 1200 @ 1.6 GHz should pretty much whip a P iv 2.0 GHz!!!!!!! Anyone tried this?

:) :) :)

Well I just checked on overclockers.com database and several people seem to have overclocked it successfully. One at least got it to 1536 MHz with retail heatsink and default voltage (!). But it takes a good heatsink pushing voltage up to 1.6/1.85 to get it to 1600 MHz. BTW does the vcore need to be unlocked in any way?
