Bios ROM checksum error
Award Bootblock Bios 1.0
Copyright 1995

I receive the above message when attempting to boot. The diskdrive is being accessed, but does not or cannot see a known good bootdisk. I suspect that I have a corrupted Bios, but I cannot find any battery to pull to clear-it. The board manufacture is unknown (and I have not had any luck with I.D. of it on internet) Pentium Pro processor, Intel 440FX PCI chipset, Mini AT, 5-PCI slots, 3-ISA, IDE. I has tried pulling all jumpers on an individual basis in an attemp to clear Bios without any luck. Any comments, oe suggestions?:(

Change the CMOS battery and reflash the BIOS using the latest version.

Corrupted BIOS (program code) is nothing to do with lost CMOS storage (settings).

Either the ROM chip's contents aren't OK (which is rare if you didn't just try to flash update it), or the RAM is bad. The latter causes the same failure - inability to unpack the main BIOS image from the ROM chip into RAM.
