Bovon 11-25-2001, 10:29 PM If you are asking how warm it gets inside the case, there are several ways. One is...there is a snap in panel that fits a 5 1/2 inch bay that has a digital meter in it..I haven't seen one advertised anywhere recently. Some people simply get one of these indoor / outdoor thermometors at a hardware store and stick the "outside" probe inside the case somewhere near the cpu. and mount the thermometor on the wall somewhere around the computer desk. If you are asking how to monitor the cpu temps, that is a sensing device called a thermistor that is mounted in the cavity under the cpu. and the bios will give you a temp readout, and there is some software that runs under Windows to read the temps as well. Some motherboards also have a thermistor mounted out on the board someplace...this can also provide a temp readout in the bios or Windows software. This type of temp readouts can be wildly variable because no two thermistors are exactly the same. Sophisticated lab type devices that monitor temps are accurate, but the thermistors are hand picked for a certain tolerance, and maintained to a high degree. skrwdrvr 11-25-2001, 10:38 PM alright....thanx very much. Rocketmech 11-25-2001, 10:57 PM Many mobo bios' come with a system monitor also, w/ temp , fan rpm, voltage levels and alarms as well, although this is not very convenient. There are a few popular and reliable system monitor apps that work very well for free. I like using MBProbe. Its important that you check that the app you choose will work with your system chipset. Check you favorite Download site and look in the Utility section. :) SysOpt.com
