I keep having this wierd problem with my DVD and Hdrive detecting at the POST.
If the power has been turned off at the wall/unplugged, the Drives dont detect and i have to turn the PC off an back on (using the PC power button), however the problem doesnt happen again until the power is turned off at the mains.
Hmmmn
Any ideas
(Kt7a raid on 350W PSU - Creative 12x DVD and Seagate 30gb U Series 5)

Probably a dead CMOS battery. Quick check - does your system time reset whenever you pull the power cord out of the wall?

Nope - Date and all my other BIOS settings are okay -- hmmmnn --just the drives that give me a pain in the ***

Your system will have a choice in the BIOS between Fast and normal boot up speed.

Try changing this option, if its on fast boot up. This option is for drives that are slow to power up.
