I have a guy at work that needs to disconnect his PPP connection with our university after a long DL is finished. He lets it run overnight to DL stuff from storage on our univ. servers. We have a PPP connection option where people can dial up and connect with our servers at the univ. He doesn't want it to run all night and tie up the phone lines as much.
Thanks
Dave

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for?

Under the properties for the PPP connection, on the "connection tab", there should be an option to "disconnect a call if idle for more than xxx minutes".

When I still used a dial-up connection, I used Getright to download large files. It also has an option to kill the connection at a pre-set time (and you can resume later), and I think you can set it to disconnect when the download has completed.

Gozilla has a real easy to configure auto-disconnect feature at "end-of-download"

I still find it hard to believe that Gozilla is FREE.

It and Zone Alarm and PrintKey are GREAT freebies.

I know, I know,,, the old drivel about "prt scrn" and paste to business,,
BUT, Printkey lets you grab only the areas of the screen that you want.
Also gets stuff that prt-screen or select-copy won't grab. uh,, uruh, like those spots where they don't like you to copy certain text...
