Has anyone heard about these voodoo 5 6000's?? I saw one on ebay a couple weeks ago and the bid was at like $2000. Theses things have five gpu's with heatsinks and fans on em. They are like a foot long and they require an external power supply. Any one know what that one sold for? Aren't the reputed to be the geforce 3 killers? I don't know this is all just stuff that I've heard.

It was never released. The few ones you'll hear about are engineering samples. Just a couple of these are in the market.

That one on eBay was sold for $2,250 !

General specs here (http://www.reactorcritical.com/chips/chip-vsa100.shtml).
It was aimed to compete with GeForce2 Ultra. Can't really compare it with GeForce3 - different league :)
Rumours talking about quantity of 50 samples only being out there. In addition, Quantum had these in their AAlchemy workstations, modded with internal power supply.

P.S. Just found some more info about V5 6000, including what I've written above :) - do a search for "V5 6000" (without commas) on www.guru3d.com , you'll find quite interesting info

Do I see an Intel chip on this ???

Yes, this is the chip who was rumoured to cause all the problems V5 6000 had. It's a some kind of special AGP-to-AGP bridge, to allow four processors to show as one to the OS.
BTW, almost same problem had ATI with their dual-chip Rage MAXX.

Looks like a good card, but is it really better than the newest GeForce 3.

By telling that V5 6000 is a "different league" from GeForce3, I meant to say thay you can't really compare these two cards, as GeForce3 was released way after the V5 6000 (which wasn't even released officially), and "smokes" the V5 6000 easily :)
Look at Q3 framerates on these reviews at guru3d.com ...
