Is it better to set NAV 2000's virus cleanup to:
Delete File or Send to Virus Bin?

I've had our library's computer's set to delete file but now I'm thinking that if a virus infects a Windows system file or something else important,
it could wreak havoc.

Is it better to set it to Virus Bin and then check the bin periodically?

If a virus was downloaded to a computer, doesn't NAV send out a warning? I've seen this before but recently, on a W2K machine, NAV 2001 says a virus was found 5 days ago and no matter how many times I run and rerun NAV scan, it doesn't come up with anything?

Finally, is real-time protection enough or should I scan all computers' hard drives weekly, etc??

Thanks for your help!!

It is best to set it up to quarinte the infeted file(s). Leave all the setting to what the programme recommend.

Yes Nav does send out a warning if u have downloaded a virus, if u have it set up right.

The reason y it has not come up with anything is because NAV has dealt with the problem.

It is a good idea to run a full scan every week, Most people i know will set it up to run over night. it is also a good idea to update your virus every two days. Personally i update my virus every 12 hours, but that is that average with a fast machine and cable.

Hope this helps u
