i have a 486 notebook with about 16mb of ram. windows 3.1 and office works fine there. i want to unload it but i dont want to give it away since it costs a lot the day i bought it. any place buys these old stuffs?

sorry to disappoint u guys but my aunt is getting it for her 8 year old daugther. sorry i didnt know she wanted it until the other day. what i'm wondering is what you guys will use it for.

A 486 notebook is still useful. The most useful thing of it is that it is portable. Why would you want to spend $3000 on a Pentium III 750 laptop when all you are going to use it for is word processing, play a few card games on it, ect. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I need something lightweight to run procomm for dos. Its easier than toting a dumb terminal to configure routers.

Joel, it is a no-brainer. I spent 3500 so I could watch DVD's in the car, why else?
