Somebody please help.

I use a lexmark Z22 inkjet printer. All of a sudden it stopped printing. It was going through the motions but nothing was coming on the page. I use the injet refil kits. The cartridge is half full still. I have been taking care not to touch the metal contacts.

Could somebody give me any ideas as to why it stopped after printing 1 document perfectly. Any ideas and advice is appreciated

Yep...same thing here with a Z11. Get a NEW cartridge.

What happens (or can happen) is, when the ink gets low in a cartridge, it will burn out the print head which is a part of the cartridge. Ink cools the print head as it flows over it during the print process. If the ink runs out, gets low...or stops up, the resistor that controls the print head burns out, this kills that cartridge.

I worried with one print cartridge for a week, after I had refilled it for about the 4th time, and it would not print...it went thru all the motions, ect...but no ink. I finally found a web site that explained what happens when a cartridge runs dry, ect...so, I bought a new cartridge, and its printing now just like nothing ever happened.
