Lotus Organizer question

I've been playing around with the demo version of Organizer. I'm consider using an application on my PC to keep track of things in my life such as addresses, birthdays etc...

Are there any free email programs that can tie in with Organizer somehow, and use its address book (contacts)? Like Outlook uses it's address book/contacts list?

Or are there any free programs like Organizer that anyone would recommend that can be used as an address book for an email client?
