Is there a way to load Windows Drivers in a certian order? I'm not talking about anything in the startup menu, or what loads after the registry in windows, but before windows starts up. Like what the bootlog looks at.
Because I have this small problem with my ethernet card, normally when I turn on my computer I can access the web at the very start of it. Like my AIM/ICQ/MSN will connect right away. But recently, I must have did something to my comp, but as I watch my computer load up, it seems as if though my ethernet card is detected 4 times and my mouse is detected twice, like as I watch my routers led's the ethernet card blinks 4 times, and my intelli mouse flashes two times.
Before my mouse would load after my ethernet card, but whenever my computer starts now, I have to wait like 2 mins in windows before the ethernet card actually connects to the net. The card is on, but it doesn't do anything it just sits there, so as I wait for it it begins to flash continusally and then I can get online.
I will probably try uninstalling the ethernet card boot up windows and then put it back in and reboot windows and see if that helps, but I was wondering if there was a way to tell windows which devices to load first. "devices is probably the better term then drivers since I'm not loading drivers :) "
Thanks for any help.
