I have a Fujitsu 2.6G hard disk and have been having some real problems with it. Crashing, data loss etc.... I ran the Fujitsu diagnostics and got this result:

--Model-----Serial---Status---Code
MPA3026AT--01012898---FAIL---A106A5

Could anyone explain to me what is wrong with my hard drive and can it be fixed by me or not?

have you gone to there website and see if you find any info what the diagnostics reported. also how old is the drive??

Its about 3 years old, yes i have been to the website and their isn't any explination.

you've probably done this but did not indicate. have you tried scandisk or some other utility such as norton disk doctor and the like to see what exactly are your system's problems? at least their summary report actually makes sense.
