A friend of mine wants to buy a new video card to replace his intergrated video. I heard that you have to disable the intergrated video first does hanybody know ow to do that?

Depending on your motherboard, you should be able to diasable your onboard video by a jumper or in bios. Can you post the manufacturer of your MB?:D

Go into the Bios setup on your friends computer first. Then go to the section that has the video settings (different places on some motherboards) and put the memory for the integrated video to zero. Then select either AGP or PCI for the video card that your friend wants to install depending on which it is. Also, there might be an IRQ assigned to the integrated video chip...you can free up that IRQ by disabling it (at least I could on my old mobo). Good luck.
