hey all of you people who own an ATI Radeon video card with 32mb SDRAM and TV out listen up
how do you get TV out to work?? this is word for word what it says in the manual:
1 Click Start.
2 Point to Settings, then click Control Panel
3 Double-click Display.
4 Click on the Settings tab and then the Advanced... button.
5 Click on the ATI Displays tab.
6 Click on the green enable/disable button next to the word "TV" to enable/disable television display
If there is no display on your TV, you may need to switch it to video display mode. For more information, consult the documentation supplied with your TV. If your television is connected to your VCR, you may need to tune the TV to the VCR's output. For information about connecting your TV to your VCR, consult the documentation that came with your VCR.
the problem is THERE IS NO GREEN BUTTON OR AN ATI DISPLAYS TAB!!!!!!!!!
wtf kind of schmuck are they trying to pull here

Hi Shawn,
If you do not see the buttons described in the manual you may not have the driver installed properly. When I hooked up my tv it worked just by pluging the tv in. Also I needed to set the tv to the proper video mode. Try simple steps first like re-checking cable connections and if that dosn't work I suggest re-install software.
Where there any obvious problems like error messages or lock-up during installation?

Which version of drivers are you using? The 7075's are tuned for gaming, ie the highest fps of any drivers that ATI has developed. Your multimedia center software is on the driver cd that came with your card. I know on my Radeon DDR64 VIVO (se) this software is seperate from the vid card drivers. You will need to install this software after you have installed the vid card drivers. At present I am using the latest Omega drivers, they are optomized for games only. They are not optomized for benchmarks. These Omega drivers incorporate the 7199 ATI drivers with modifications in certain areas.

Had this problem with my Banshee card.
If you have just installed the driver as Windows requested it, while it was loading up Windows (the Plug & Play), this is not enough. This will get the basic driver on, but not the more advanced element.
With my card, you then had to run the 'Setup' program for the rest of the drivers to be installed

what do you mean re-fromat??
all you have to do is go into display settings and set it to standard vga driver...reboot so that it is using this driver then install the new downloaded driver...no formatting required!!
even the 7075 and above drivers that are 'suposwedly' for gaming ppl still work fine with tv out....i must admit i'm not exactly excited about the media center ati provide...if your planning to use the tv out to play dvd's, use another program and not the ati dvd player...use somthing like win dvd or power dvd..
Hope this helps...D :D

you clearly have no idea what you are talking about, you have a NVIDIA card, when i installed the drivers this is what happened
ICQ said a DLL was missing so it stopped working
my HP 9300 CD RW said it was missing a driver so it stopped working and the install disk did not fix the problem
computer was forced to boot in safe mode
uninstalling the ATI drivers did not solve the problem
only way out of 4 colors was to format
any questions?

OOOooo touchy,
I personally was thinking the same thing as Feck_it - Why format? Maybe if you had supplied more detail then we would not query your actions.
by the way, I think I would have simply reinstalled Windows not formatted by whole disk.
Admittedly Feck_it is talking about playing movies on the machine not the actual TV output port on the card.
Mate, call the ATI Helpline, everyone else seems to getting their TV out to work & if it still 'aint working after a complete Windows reinstall its got to be the driver or the card.
Look on the CD for a program that may activate the TV out. On the Banshee it was called TV Panel. When I copied new drivers off the 3dFX website I lost be Tv Out through the Control Panel Display icon. All I did was copied this file onto the C: disk and created a shortcut to my desktop. It worked fine.
on the ATI Expert card, the TV On option doesn't appear unless the card detects a signal in the TV Out port (ie there is a cable plugged into a back of a TV or video connected to the card).
