Anybody else grab one these little devices. I've been scanning stuff today to see if they had a site.

It's free so I figured what the hell!

The wave of the future no doubt but be careful. Privacy concerns here appear justified.[yep...betcha there's gonna be MORE of that....]

Everytime I go to radio shack I grab one of this, I must have ten by now. You could do so many things with it. For example I'm makind a card swipe system where I work so instead of signing in we just pass the bardcode reader over a card.

It is amazing what the CAT can do. Recently Linux users (the infamous suburban computer hackers) have cracked the CAT wide open, allowing it to perform many more functions than it was made for. In a recent SysOpt article by Joel Klepingger, he says (and I agree) that it is sad the way these companies like NetPliance and the makers of the CAT are losing revenue but booming in interest. FFT

Yeah when you register the software to use it do it !!!anonomously!!! it is pretty cool to be able to scan ANY upc and get info, and they are putting Cuecat codes on more and more products, I noticed the Parade mag in my newspaper this week had a few codes in it, its slowly catching on...

I think that cat scans are something best left to trained professionals. These free do-it-yourself things could never compare with experienced healthcare workers using multimillion-dollar equipment. But hey, it's your brain!

You could probably go to the radio shack website and have them send you one. I'm pretty sure they will ship them to Canada.
