This is just a random thought but this might work. I have seen many posts here that give great info but forget what they prescribe and have a hard time finding them again. I think I might put a non-sensical word at the bottom of really good threads that I post in (like snipe or something) so I can search for that word and bring up my "bookmarks". Just thought I would spread the idea. It may help.

Not a bad idea Dave. I know what you mean about having a hard time finding certain posts again at a later date.
There is one possible issue in that over the course of time, there are bound to be a lot of posts which are "marked", and you might be right back in the same boat that you are now......trying to find a needle in a haystack.
Till someone comes up with a better method though, this one might work out well for you.

Several times I have thought that a choice of "within the last year" would be helpfull.
If your searching for something and choose "any date" the search may stop at posts several months old, or even from last year. If you can't narrow down the search, it can be tough finding something more than a month old.

That is a pretty slick and simple idea.

That is a cool idea. At least I won't be scratching my head when I see [snipe] or [whatever] http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
Now that I'm thinking about it, that's probably what was happening with the same type of odd random words in one member's posts awhile back.
It makes sense now, if perhaps that's what it was about.

Socalgal, that was me.I know my grammatic stinks, but there's no need to rub it in.Why didn't you just say it was me! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
It's really a nice idea! Now I have to figure out what code I'm going to put in that post...my date of birth perhaps?22-04-83
Btw,I'm not born in the 22nd month,we use day-month-year in the Netherlands.
