windows 98 password protection

Can anybody please tell me if it is possible to password protect a folder or a file in Windows 98?

About the only method I know of is to use Winzip on a file and use the password option on the file when you zip and unzip the file or files.

Any ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think that can be done with Windows 98 alone. You'll have to do a search on something like www.download.com and look for a folder protection application.

There is a program called Magic Folders which hides your folders and requuires a password to unhide them again.
