You would need a program that could convert .wav files in the .cda's. Good luck finding one.

You can use Adaptec's EasyCD Creator 4. There's a software component, CD Spin Doctor, which allows for just that. It records from a variety of sources including LPs and tapes. It's capable of direct conversion from tape to audio-CD.

MusicMatch JukeBox will accept input from these sources too.

Hello:
I like to be able to record my tapes on a CD-Rom and play them on a regular audio player.
I read all threats related ot this but none could help me. I will be specific:
I know how to do the hook-ups an dall, my question are:
1) which program do I use to record from tape to Hard Drive?
2) how do I burn them into a CDRom so that I can listen to them using normal audio player?
3) what frequency(settings) should i use for optimal quality?

Many thanks,

Futzel

Futzelman, check out Total Recorder at http://www.highcriteria.com/.

I use it to record streaming audio, but I seem to recall that it has many functions and may meet your needs.

Good luck!

Thank you guys.
I started using MediaJukebox 5.0 but it is not stable at all.
I will try the other program you mention!

I have been doing the same thing for awhile now. Infact I have been recording the FM radio and then editing the recordings to individual songs and utilizing the noise reduction and making my own favorites disks. I use the program called Cool Edit-2000. It is capable of coverting a number of audio formats to others. I have been doing alot of mp3 to wav formats. The noise reduction is very impressive and the best part is that it is only about 10mg. I have about 7gig available on my HD and it will use everybit of it for recording, but you can delete them after you have completed your recording onto CD's. I forgot where I got it from but it is a cool program. Try it.
