I know we've been here before. BUT, this camera absolutely Blows me away. AWESOME, a camera that writes to CD-R's.

The test done said that they made NO coasters even while jostling the camera around during the write session..

Oddly, ole ripoff ecost.com has it priced at RETAIL, NO DISCOUNT AT ALL..
gEE What a bargain,, RETAIL, THANKS GUYS http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

Personally, I'm waiting for the IBM Microdrives, and the cameras that accept them, to become a bit less expensive. I know IBM has already tested a 2GB version (or was that 1?), but I'm not aware if it is in production yet.

Personally, I don't like incredibly large cameras. They're too awkward, and I'm sure a device like a cdr will suck the battery down.

Sony Floppy R
<><><><><><><>

I recently purchased a sony floppy write digital camera/video. Works wonderfully. It shines most in its compatability. Simply stick the floppy in, and boom, thats it. The images are strikingly clear for a floppy/print/ then scanned.

There are so many types of media that is getting difficult to see wha tis long lasting and what to buy. I love the Sony idea with the cd-rs but what if you go through Europe taking lovelty pics of your vacation and it does have a time where it burns a coaster? I was very pleased last week when I found that my Canon S20 takes the microdrives. I can't imagine 340MB in my camera! CD-Rs are great but I would have to use one to believe their no-coaster claim...
