i have an az11 mobo, thunderbird 700, 128 ram, geforce2mx, sound card, lan card, cd-rw, 7200rpm hdd. i've heard horror stories on the thunderbird literally melting down. i'm not sure what the temp in my system is coz my mobo doesn't have any temp readings. so far i've avoided the meltdown by turning my room air-conditioner at full blast everytime i use it. should i get a cooling device, temp reading devices or get a new mobo? i'm a nwebie at this and any suggestions will be really useul?

HEY---IT COULDNT HURT!

My friend recently lost half his room to a computer/electrical fire, caused by the overheating of his CPU. Cooling fans and other devices are almost given away now to avoid this kind of event. Now my friend has a friggin blast fan next to him, what a guy.

hope this helps,
