This is the System i've been waiting for for what seems like ages... Dual Athlon with DDR... i gotta get some money....
But maybe i better wait for Via to make a chipset, and Epox to make the motherboard?

Dual SocketA is very tempting, considering I can build a dual Thunderbird 800 system with DDR cheaper than a single P3 1000 with RAMBUS. I can't wait!

Yes the Duron will work with SMP. Also the boards are supposed to be out in Jan/Feb.

Needless to say I am waiting for these boards to come out before I build my Duron system.

I will have to see if I can't "obtain" one of these boards before then. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif I really want to try out Athlon SMP, since the board architecture is similar to DEC Alpha's EV6 bus.

According to Peter Missel you can also mix and match tbirds & durons at different speeds on the same mobo. See the thread below.
