yet another of my friends wants a new comp. he is willing to spend $1400 for a notebook. what should he expect in this price range? also, what are good notebook manufacturers? i know compaq sucks, but toshiba is good.

bought in july and never used it..have all reciepts and still needs to be registered with Toshiba for warranty..

i've already checked pricewatch and dell. but who is a good laptop manufacturer? i already looked at cody's deal but i'm not sure if thats waht my friend is looking for...
