Please, everyone, scour the net, find who's giving the best deals on generic/brand name PC100/PC133/PC150/VC133 128MB-256MB modules. Everyone wants to pay $1 per meg, but this seems impossible nowadays! Even 128MB PC100 for a decent price is hard to find. Please post what you've found.

P.S. Don't bother with prices on Rambus or proprietary.

The one and only source for all your computing needs: www.pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com)

It is not a retailer, but lists hundreds of other retailers under many, many categories. If you want **** RAM, then that is the place to find it cheap.

Quality RAM is at www.crucial.com (http://www.crucial.com)

Assuming you have compatible motherboard, you can buy 256meg sticks of PC-133 for $189.00 at PC-Cost. Here's a link:

Also, make sure to check out Sysopt.com's own Ibuyer. Here's the link:

Alas, we are blessed yet again with the knowledge from the heavens as yet another of the "old Wise Ones" has benefited us mindless peasants with a gift of inspirational information. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Where in the world have you been, old Wise One Sire RobRich, we see your articles of brilliance from time to time, most of which exceed the capability of our limited neuron-firing activity.

We are like the desert floor soaking up the wisdom and magnificent teachings of the old Wise Ones. Though the combined firings of the entire membership's neuron mass is but a glint of a firefly in the night ,, we still pursue the gift of eternal brilliance that pervades the lofty position held by the wizards of above.

If by chance in passing, Please inform Mr Peter Missell that his teachings prevented my from a unforgivable action. The premature death of my Honorable Processor, the AMD K6-2 333 from and over-voltage condition.
His teachings did not go in vain, the near void of my 26 remaining and undamaged brain cells retained the timely gift preventing a horrid action on my part.

Seriously, last week there was a banner ad at the top of the screen from, ? Crucial ? or someone, with GREAT prices on 64mb and 128 both in 100 and 133 fsb speeds.
Anyone remember who the vendor was ??

Thanks,,, and RobRich,, j/k of course http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Best price I can locate for moderately decent 128meg memory (Micron, Hyundai, etc.) is around $100 US through any hardware search engine. Generic is averaging $5-10 cheaper, so why not spend the extra few dollars to get a proven name brand?

Old and Wise at 20, I must be blessed?! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
